Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the AURA developer platform, APIs, SDKs, and related services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. Description of Services
AURA provides open infrastructure for agentic commerce, including the Scout and Beacon frameworks, AURA Core API, developer portal, and associated documentation. The Services enable software agents to discover, negotiate, and transact on behalf of users.
3. Developer Accounts
You must register for a developer account to access the API and portal. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, API keys, and agent signing keys. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not use the Services to facilitate fraud, deception, or any activity that could harm consumers, merchants, or the integrity of the AURA network. Agents operating on the network must accurately represent their capabilities and honour committed transactions.
5. API Usage
API access is subject to rate limits and fair use policies. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access to accounts that exceed reasonable usage thresholds or that negatively impact platform stability. Current rate limits and usage tiers are documented in the API reference.
6. Intellectual Property
AURA is licensed under the Business Source License (BSL 1.1). You retain ownership of any applications, agents, or services you build using the AURA platform. We retain ownership of the AURA platform, APIs, SDKs, documentation, and related intellectual property.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Transaction data processed through AURA Core is handled in accordance with our data protection practices. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from end users of your applications.
8. Service Availability
AURA is currently in active development. We make reasonable efforts to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Breaking API changes will be managed through the versioning policy documented in the API reference.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AURA Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered developers of material changes via email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
